SUPERVISED BY NANCY PHUNG-SMITH, LMFT138181

"I started my career centered in community healing, building and justice work over 25 years ago. I consider myself fortunate to have been able to nurture this passion across communities worldwide looking at the intersectionality of racial, gender and climate equity issues and systems change. Through my own deeply personal experiences as a Vietnamese American refugee, I provided care and advocacy for aging parents as well as siblings with disabilities, and in turn, I have found my own current journey in providing therapy today."

Clients I’m Ideal For:

I work with individuals, couples, and families who want a therapist who understands identity, belonging, and the pressure of navigating multiple worlds. I am especially a good fit for:

  • Immigrants, refugees, and multicultural families People balancing cultural expectations, intergenerational trauma, and the ongoing search for safety, identity, and healing.

  • Caregivers feeling overwhelmed or invisible Those supporting aging parents, loved ones with disabilities, or family members with chronic needs — and carrying stress, burnout, or guilt.

  • People of color and LGBTQ+ clients Anyone seeking a culturally responsive therapist who understands racial stress, gender identity, community expectations, and how social systems impact mental health.

  • Individuals carrying trauma, grief, or systemic barriers Clients seeking trauma-informed therapy that honors both their personal history and the broader context they live in.

  • People feeling lost, anxious, or stuck at work Those facing workplace conflict, performance anxiety, burnout, impostor syndrome, or a major life transition affecting confidence and direction.

  • Anyone longing for deeper, transformative healing Clients who want to reconnect with their values and purpose through a blend of compassion, structure, and practical strategies for change.

If you’re looking for a therapist who sees both your story and the systems you’re navigating, you’re in the right place.

I work with adults struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, grief, career and relationship issues. I center your needs, value your collaboration and respect your pace as I'll support you through your journey of connecting with your true self, finding solutions and having more peace in life.

Authenticity, compassion and humor are the core of my practice as I have found them to ease the pain in the process of healing. I consider myself an eclectic practitioner; using a broad range of humanistic, strength-based, cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapies.
