"As we acknowledge the strength and resiliency; may we honor the hurt and pain it took to get there"

Hello
Hello, I'm Brittney—a mentor, associate therapist, and teen life coach!
I feel most alive when I'm outdoors—hiking, exploring nature, and soaking up the sunshine. Being in nature grounds and connects me to life in a way nothing else does.

My Story
As a millennial and one of six children, I navigated a lot of adversity growing up. My path to becoming a therapist started as a deeply personal journey—one of trying to understand my own life, the weight of my experiences, and how to heal. I show up as a very real, imperfect, messy human who has struggled and come out the other side.

My cup is filled by many passions. I owned a vintage shop for five years and love curating collections that express my creativity through style. I’m a natural connector and wholeheartedly believe in the power of community. That belief led me to create unique spaces for young women to heal and grow together—specifically, support groups that take place inside a retrofitted school bus. Bringing people together and fostering a sense of belonging isn’t just something I do—it’s who I am!

Beyond my work, I love shooting film photography, collaborating with friends, camping, and traveling whenever I can. Life is meant to be explored, and I try to embrace that as much as possible.
With 14+ years of experience working alongside young people, I am deeply committed to creating spaces where individuals feel seen, heard, and supported. My work is rooted in the belief that healing happens in connection—with ourselves and with others. I have a particular passion for fostering women's support groups, where women can come together in community, share their stories, and deepen their sense of self.

Navigating the teen years and early adulthood comes with unique challenges, especially for women. I know firsthand the power of having a space outside of family and friends to vent, reflect, and grow. I believe that true transformation happens in connection, and I’m passionate about providing young women with a sense of belonging and the tools to step into their fullest selves.

Thus Girl Hangs was born: A moving sanctuary for healing, connection, and self-discovery through group therapy hangs. Our mission is to create a safe and welcoming space where young women can navigate life’s challenges together and build resilience through shared experience. As the wheels turn, so do the conversations—fostering authentic relationships, strengthening the bond between self and community, and reminding us that we are never alone on this journey. Groups serve young women (ages 11-25+) in Santa Barbara, Ojai, Ventura, and Oxnard.
