What to expect:

Initial assessment and goal setting – The first few sessions focus on building rapport, exploring your history, and identifying your priorities and therapeutic goals.

Weekly or biweekly sessions – Most therapy occurs on a regular schedule (typically 50 minutes), providing consistency and momentum for your work.

Customized treatment approach – Your therapist may draw from modalities such as IFS, EMDR, DBT, or psychodynamic therapy, depending on your needs and preferences.

Ongoing progress check-ins – Therapy includes periodic reviews to reflect on what’s working, adjust goals, and ensure your needs are being met.

Homework or between-session practices – You may be invited to reflect, journal, try new skills, or notice patterns in between sessions to deepen the work.

Conjoint or collateral sessions (as needed) – Occasionally, a partner or family member may join to explore relationship dynamics, with your consent.
