BIPOC Mental Health Awareness

BIPOC Mental Health Awareness

July is Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) mental health awareness month. BIPOC experience unique challenges in mental health due to systemic racism, structural violence, and intergenerational trauma. The effect of these oppressive and discriminatory systems has led to inequities in access to inclusive and culturally relevant care, and social stigmas around seeking care.

Taking care of our mental health is essential for self- and community-preservation. Through soulcare and collective healing, our ancestors have and we now continue to build RESILIENCY and RECLAIM our healing.
